About Us
BD Excavation Services was founded by Bernie and Dale after working together on major Tier 1 civil infrastructure projects. Bernie brought extensive experience as a Project Surveyor, while Dale specialised in machine operation focussed on live services and complex civil connections. Recognising the value of combining their skills, they created a one-stop-shop business delivering a seamless experience for clients through a complete range of excavation and earthworks services.
What sets us apart is the combination of surveying precision and expert machine operation. By bringing these two disciplines together, we're able to deliver high-quality projects that go beyond traditional excavation services.
Based on the Gold Coast, we work across Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales, with an expertise in hinterland regions. We specialise in retaining walls, site preparation, driveways, pool excavation, landscaping, drainage and land clearing.

- Bernie – Director & Qualified Land Surveyor
- Bernie is a highly skilled surveyor with over 10 years of experience across civil and land development projects. He holds a Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) from the University of Southern Queensland. Bernie's work is defined by technical precision and an extensive understanding of geospatial systems, seamlessly integrated with his knowledge of civil infrastructure, procedures, and project management.
- Dale – Director & Operations Manager
Dale brings over 10 years of excavation experience across residential, commercial and major Tier 1 civil projects. Specialising in complex earthworks, live services and challenging site conditions, he has developed a reputation for precision machine operation and delivering exceptional results in even the most demanding environments.
His combination of technical expertise, efficiency and attention to detail ensures every project is completed safely, accurately and with the highest level of workmanship. Simply put, when it comes to operating machinery, Dale is in his element.
